Darth Ruyn was a Lethan Twi'lek that belonged to Darth Krayt's new Sith Order more than one-hundred years after Luke Skywalker reestablished the Jedi Order following the defeat of the Empire. Darth Ruyn sported the traditional Sith tattoos all over his body including his face and lekku.

Within the Sith Order, Darth Ruyn was one of the most prominent teachers training many initiates in the Sith's ancient ways. His last student was that of Darth Talon, whom Krayt hoped to be one of the order's fiercest warriors and his own personal assassin. As a final test before her initiation, Darth Krayt ordered Darth Talon to kill Darth Ruyn, her own master. With absolutely no hesitation, Darth Talon sprang forth and sliced off Darth Ruyn's head, passing this final test.
